Gnome is where the heart is. I cant believe it is just about the end of the month and I haven't posted a thing. So much to do and so little time. Don't know how I managed when I was working as retirement never has enough hours in a day. The image this month is this adorable couple and I coloured them with copics. Added some dots to her apron and decided he needed some stripes for a bit of colour on his hat. Printed some roses from Beary Wishes, computer generated the sentiment and added some bakers twine. The PP is from an Echo Park pack called Dots & Stripes. Copics:  Gnomes:  Skin: E0000,01,02,11,R20. Hair: E00,23,27,29,49. Dress: G0000,00,02,16. Hat/Girl & Apron: V000,01,04,05. Jacket: E31,23,25. Hat/Socks/Boy: N0,R14,17,37,59. Belt/Boots: C00.1,3,7. Roses: RV21,23,25,YG00,G03. Beard: W00,1,3,5. Shadow: V0000,B0000. Ground: W0,1,3.

Nap Time My card for this months challenge was a rushed one as I left it to the last minute as usual. It's the National Folk Festival here in Australia and I have my four day pass so I just about ran out of time. I haven't missed one since they moved it permanently to Canberra 20 odd years ago. The image was coloured with copics and then fussy cut and adhered to the background. Used distress oxide and a Darkroom Door stamp called gum tree to make the background then this was framed with patterned paper from a Kaiser 6 x 6 pad called base coat. Copics: Cat: R000,E11,47,49. Mouse: W1,3,5,R20. Cactus & Pot: G20,21,24,YR00,R01,05,08,B21,24,41. Books Flat: B95,97,BV25,E000,11,25,27,YG97. Books Upright: RV69,91,93,99,N5,7,9,R59,89,BG53,57,75,78. Tree: E71,74.

Love I am soo in love with this adorable panda so the title  just had to be called love. I have lots of love dies but for some reason I rarely use them but this one with the heart just seemed to fit and was the perfect sentiment for this image. I printed two panda images, coloured one with copics and just a few hearts from the second so I could fussy cut some for layering. I wanted the image to stand out so just backed it onto a red spotted PP from Rosie's Studio Basics 6 x 6 in paper pack and then onto a black card base. I added some glossy accents to the layered hearts, die cut the love three times in black then red for contrast and dimension and then glued them together, this was adhered to the card and I love the way it all came together. Copics: Panda:  C0, 3, 5, 9. Hearts: R08, 12, 14, 17, 24, 27, 37. Shadow: B0000, 000. Ground: E41, 42, N1.

Sending Warm Fuzzies Running slow late so short post today. This is my entry to this months challenge at Gerda Steiner's. Have a Friends birthday this month and she love critters so this months cutie was perfect. As usual I used copics to colour the image and made a clean and simple card. To give it a bit of dimension I cut a circle panel and mounted it over the image. The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set called Everyday Sayings and I stamped it twice around the circle. The happy birthday and heart is one I have had forever I don't know what company it came from. Copics:  Raccoon: W00,3,5,7,9,N3,5,7. Stump: E11,13,15,18. Birthday Sign: E41,42,43. Grass: YG23,67,G29. Sky: BG000,0000,Co & colourless blender.

Calories don't Count I cant believe it's been a month since I last posted on my blog. Life just seems to get in the way of crafting at the moment but I really don't mind as my youngest is moving back to the ACT after being away for 10 years. It's not like we didn't see her as it was only 4 hrs away but now it will be 30 mts. Spent most of the month helping her sell the house and packing etc. so this my first card this month and just in time for the challenge. Kept it simple and used one of my favourite sentiments (wish it was true) for a quick card. Coloured the image with my Zig markers, mounted it on an old off-cut of blue Colour-core Card stock then onto an off white card base.

Girl With Flowers It's been a month since I last posted as my poor old computer decided to throw a tantrum and I am going to have to buy a new one. My daughters partner managed to calm the beast but as it's 12 years old says it's time to upgrade. I actually enjoyed not having it after the first week as I read, crocheted and got over the withdrawal symptoms. Just in time now to add my challenge card. I broke out my Zig clean colour markers and had a play. Forgot to write down the one's I used but had fun and will try them again. Cut the image out with a My Favourite things rectangle die but mounted the frame for dimension over a scrap piece of PP. This was then adhered to a white card base. Added glossy accents to the flowers and headband then some black dots to her dress.

Friends Nearly forgot to post this months card challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs. The freebie was this cute Pen Pal Bear and since I didn't get the last one in on time making sure this one makes it. I have no one to blame but myself as I leave everything to the last minute. I used copics to colour the bear and then stamped the sentiments from an old Hero Arts set called Thanks for being my Friend onto a scrap piece of white paper in black and red ink. It is no longer available which is a shame as it a lovely set and is a favourite of mine. I punched the top with a SU punch then adhered it to the card base over the PP scraps.  The bear was mounted in the corner with dimensional tape and I added some hearts that I die cut from a really old cuttlebug die. I think it was one of the first I bought when I got my cuttlebug but I can't part with them. Just being sentimental I think as it doesn't get much use. Added some glossy accents to the hearts and the bears nose to finish ...

Merry Aussie Christmas This month it's all about Christmas and as we have hot sunny weather down here in Australia I went with an outback Aussie look. Gum trees, blue skies and red earth is the backdrop for this Christmas pup. The gum tree and fence are from Make it Crafty  Outback scene set and the puppy this months freebie from Gerda Steiner Designs  that I made into this scene. The gum leaves are from Stamp-it that I coloured and then fussy cut. The image was coloured with copics and then mounted onto a brown mat. I adhered a sheet of designer paper from kaiser 61/2 inch Base Coat paper pad to the card base then the image on top. Have left it to the last minute as usual but still have time to upload. Copics: Puppy: E42,44,W10. Hat: R24,46,C0,3,5. Present: BG10,11,15,23, Black Multi Liner 0.1  Tree: E71,74,77,YG61,63,67. Fence: W5,7,9. Ground: E13,YR14,18,21. Grass: G46,YG94.99. Brrr... Cold Hedgehog The freebie image this month for the challenge is this adorable hedgehog and I enjoyed making him look cold. I kept the card fairly simple by masking the image to colour that large moon with squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade and a touch of  faded jeans distress inks. Next I masked the moon and used faded jeans and chipped sapphire distress inks for the sky and flicked on some water droplets for contrast. For the image and grass I used copics and drew in some extra grass as it looked to plain. The Brrr... was cut out from and old cuttlebug alphabet set three times and glued together to give some added dimension. Edged the image with chipped sapphire before adhering it to some orange card then onto a blue card base. Copics: Hedgehog Hair: E13,17,19,29,37. Body: E70,71,77,W1. Scarf: BG0000,11,15. Pumpkins: YG97,YR18,21,Y38,E19. Apple: R12,17,46,Y13. Pear: G21,24,YR12. Grass: YG03,61W3,5.Black Multi Liner.
