The Outlawz Progressive Monthly Challenge

Image
Celebrate My daughter has moved back home to Canberra so I am surprised I have my card finished early. It's been a busy month but so nice to have her close again. This month the image is this an a adorable cat image from Anne Fenton.  Anne's Digital Art.  It was a joy to colour and I had to make it a birthday card for my cat loving friend. Coloured it with my copics then cut it out with a plain spellbinder circle die. Thought it needed more so cut a scalloped die for some contrast, also from spellbinders.  Used a PP from Kaiser pad Something Blue to the black card base then adhered the cat.The celebrate and words are from Avery Elle and are matching dies and stamps called sentimental . I used the celebrate die, white embossed the words then placed them around the image.   Copics: Cat: N1,3,5,7,G21. Pot: E04,08,09. Flowers: R21,43,RV25,YR07. Leaves Pale: YG00,09,G24. Leaves Dark: G05,29. Ground: E31,33,35, Copic Multiliner Sepia 0.3 Backg...

Swimming by to say Hi Hopefully next month I will not be rushing but I say that most months so who knows. Managed to get another monthly challenge done and this one was so much fun. I love zentangles and I hope Jean  doesn't mind that I added some more tangles to the image. Coloured it with my Zig markers, mounted it to a piece of blue card then unto a pale blue card base. The sentiment was computer generated.

The Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge

You Got This This months freebie is this very elegant image called My Fair Lady by Sheepski Designs and I wanted to keep it clean and simple. I decided to go with a basic colour scheme, white dress with just two contrasting colours and am happy with the way it turned out. The sentiment is from the set The New Pretty by The Ton. Added two strips of black CS then two strips of red PP from Kaiser 6 1/2 in pad called Looking Glass before adhering to a black card base. A touch of clear Wink of Stella on the red to finish off.  Copics:  Skin: E0000,000,01,R46. Dress: N1,3,5,R24,46. Hat: N5,7,9,R24,37,46. Shadow: C0.

I used copics and then went around the edges with broken china and pumice stone distress inks. The sentiment is from Penny Blacks The Wonder set. The panel was then adhered to black cardstock and onto blue PP from the Echo Park 6 x 6 Season's Greetings pack that I added some white organza ribbon and silver cord to before adhering it to a black card base. The Lighthouse This month the image for the challenge is this lovely lighthouse drawn by Laurian the Design Team Leader. I love the sea and had fun making this card. Recently bought a new die called waves, from Couture Creations, so this was the perfect time to try it out and I love the result. I printed the image twice, used one for a mask so I could distress ink the background then coloured it with copics. Cut the wave die and then used sections to frame the rocks, added white gel pen highlights and I had a nice stormy sea. The beams are white SU ink and the stars white gel pen. Copics: Lighthouse: N1,3,5. R14.46. Y32. Rocks: E53,55,57.

Best Friends Forever When I finished colouring this image I think I had one of those moments when you sit back and say I am so happy with this. Doesn't happen often but definitely with this. The image is Fifi from Ppinkydolls and it is adorable with those big expressive eyes. No planning, just printed the image (thought it was too big) but just started colouring anyway and it all fell into place. The skin tones are colours I would not normally choose but they worked. Thanks to Colleen Schaan from a Copic in the craft room for the YouTube on light skin tone colouring. Love, love the look, especially as it is such a prominent feature on the image. The cat is done with the neutral greys and matched his eyes to Fifi's green ones. The clothes are done in soft shades so they don't distract from that beautiful face and the hair light blond. These images are great to colour as the shading is already there for you to follow and makes it so easy as you don't have to worry wh...
