Altenew Class Rethink Re-inkers Day 3 Die Cutting

Image
Don't Ruffle Your Feathers  Thi s  card is Day 3 lesson where we used dies to cut an image from the background we made and then used it as a focal point on a card. Used my copic re-inkers for the first time and will definitley use them again. This was a quick and easy card and I have plenty of leftover cut leaves etc to use later. This set of feathers was a freebie by Hot Of The Press that came with a magazine from Practical Publishing that had matching dies and stencil. Cut three feathers and used one of the sentiments from the set. Added some sequins and twine, and inked around panel with faded jeans distress ink then added some splatters with the same ink.

Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Image
Love U I'm always running late with the monthly challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs so I am going to try this year to do it a bit earlier. It's not a New Years resolutions as I never seem to sick to them but at least I have managed February's as I started badly in January. These are such cute bunnies but I wanted to add more flowers so printed three images so I could fussy cut some extras to make it like a bouquet. They were coloured with copics, cut out with a Mama Elephant stitched die, the added to some orange card. I adhered a strip of grey gingham, Rosie's studio paper pad, to the black card base then attached the image and the simple sentiment. They are from an old Hot of the Press set of words that has to be 15 years old but they are great for creating your own sentiments.     Copics:  Grey Bunny: C0,1,3,5. Brown Bunny: E01,02,11,15. Flowers: YR15,R27,G05. Ground: E31,35. Shadow: BG0000,G0000,C000.

Outlawz Progressive Challenge

Image
Wishful Asha I can't believe it's the end of the month and that means my card for the progressive challenge is due. The image for August is this adorable Asha from Make it Crafty  that Zoe was so generous in donating. She is from the Meadow Girls Digi Stamp Collection and is sold separately as well. This is the first time I have coloured an image with such flowing hair as I didn't think I had the confidence but it's not as scary as I thought. It just takes time and the old saying is plenty of practice makes it perfect. I need lots and lots of practice. Used my copics and added a greeting from an old Hot of the Press set. The circle dies are from Spellbinders and the Stitched Squares from Simon Says Stamps. The image and PP was taped to green card stock then I used dimensionals to add it to a pink card base. The PP is from and old Pink Paislee pad called Spring Jubilee and I added clear Wink of Stella to the butterfly and flowers..    Copics:  Skin: E00...
