ACTStamp Artists Card Challenge.

Image
Happy Birthday Humans I had so much fun playing with my distress oxide inks making galaxy backgrounds for my ATC this month I had to use some to make a card for the card challenge as well. I used the same stampsets from Gerda Steiner designs and I really love the way this birthday card turned out. Coloured the cute little aliens in bright colours with my copics after I masked the centre one then fussy cut them out.  I needed something to ground them so drew the planet freehand, coloured it and adhered it to the bottom of the galaxy panel.  Attached the birthday banner to the green alien with cord and then attached them both with mounting tape to the panel. This was then fixed to a black card base. The  sentiment and banner are also from the alien invasion set. Copics: Green Alien: YG05,07,09. Pink Alien: RV02,04,06,V000,06,12. Orange Alien: Y00,YR15,18. Planet: E000,01,40,41 and brown multi liner.

Opposites Attract This challenge had me using my thinking cap as I wanted to make a card that was suitable for a few options. I don't make valentine day cards as we try to send that message through out the year. I guess it works for us as we have been married 48 years and he still surprises me with his little poems and gifts. The card will be a great one for our youngest daughter who is a cat lover. The images are from Angies Stamps called Kitty in Flowers   and Mouse eating Cheese  that I played with in photoshop to create this scene. The sentiment was computer generated and the hearts from a set by Gerda Steiner Designs that I think is no longer available. I used copics to colour it up and love the result. It is definately a one layer card. My daughter set up the blog and when I insert the photo it looks fine but when I publish it, it adds a white border. Have no idea how to fix it as I am not the greatest with computers. Copics:  Cat: E01,11,13,15,19,...

Juggling Tiger This months image is from Gerda Steiner and is this cute image called juggling tiger. Gerda has an amazing range of cute animals in both stamps and digis and they are so easy to colour. I used copics for all of the colouring except the sky. I masked the images with masking liquid and then blended with tumbled glass and stormy sky distress inks. I find I usually get a nice smooth blend if I just take my time. The stump is an old stamp from Whiff of Joy which had only one flower so I stamped 4 more then fussy cut them out and added for some dimension. I finished by adding glossy accents to the balls and the tigers nose after I mounted the coloured panel onto dark blue then a lighter blue card base. The sentiment is computer generated. Copics: Tiger: YR00,02,04,18,E43,49. Balls: BG23,R46,Y18.YR68,BY02. Stump: E41,43,44,47. Grass & Leaves: YG21,23,25. Flowers: Y04,08,E07.
