Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Image
Hugs and Kisses The sketch this week fitted in so well for me as I had just finished this Penny Black image freebie that I have had for ages. There were six free images in some card magazine and have been colouring them up for to have on hand to make some quick cards. These lovable mice just make me happy. I cut them out with a spellbinders oval die then layered it onto a scalloped die cut. The PP is from Kaisers Sandy Toes 6x6 pad that is layered on some pink CS, added the twine then adhered it to a white card base. Used a SU punch for the hearts and covered them with glossy accents for some shine. The sentiment is computer generated, die cut to match the image then adhered with mounting tape. Copics: Mice: W0,3,5,7. Large flower: RV21,23,25,E08. Small Flowers: YR61.RV21,E08. Hearts: RV29. Grass: YG:07,09,23,G09. Sky: BG0000,02. The Sketch

Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Wednesday Sketch Challenge. A friend of mine is having a rough time at the moment and I made this card for her. She spends so much time helping others and pushes herself when she should be taking it easy. The image is from Penny Black  and it's just so cute and thought it would give her a laugh. I coloured the cat with my prismacolour pencils and cut it out with a pierced oval die from MFT . The leave spray is an old die and I have no idea where I bought it from. All the rest on the card is from my stash. I am slowly going through the box of bits and pieces and using some of it. I find it hard to throw anything out and as I keep buying there is no room left and my DH says I can't have a bigger craft room. He's right (which I hate to admit) as I will never use all the supplies I have now. I hope she will enjoy the card.

Poppies, Poppies, Poppies.

Watercolour Poppies Another poppy card and not my usual colour for a background but like the end result. The flowers seem to pop of the card against the purple so I think I should try different colours more often. The image, Penny Black , was stamped on watercolour paper and I mounted it onto orange card then onto a very pale grey card base. The watercolours are my old Jasart 24 set and a change from the distress inks I usually grab. The sentiment is a from Simon Says Stamp  and twine from my stash.

Water Colouring

Watercolour Pencils Get well Card A few days ago I dragged out my old watercolour pencils and I enjoyed it so much I have coloured a few more images. A couple have made it into cards and I forget how soft a feel they give to the cards. The stamps are both from Penny Black and I love the cat . It is perfect for young and old and kids love it. An old Friend is on the mend after a bout of pneumonia so hopefully this will cheer him up.  Have had the next stamp from Penny Black for ages but never coloured it up. I love the simplicity of the daises  and the other images are all gorgeous. It seems Cas is my thing at the moment and loving the way the cards are turning out. Two cards in one day from start to finish is quick from me. I am on a roll and they just seemed to fall into place with no effort. Hope it stays this way for a while.
