Tulips in Pitcher

Image
Tulips from Amsterdam Last months card challenge at my monthly craft group (ACTSA) was the Netherlands and what could be more appropriate than tulips. I saw a card done with this stamp from Power Poppy  where they made to cards from one image and decided to try it. Love the way it turned out. I coloured the image with different coloured zig watercolour brush markers and then cut it down the middle. The last card uses the complete image as I was having fun and didn't know when to stop colouring. Sentiments from SSS set Handlettered Encouragement for first two cards and computer generated the sentiment for the last card.   Card 1 Tulips: 050 Yellow, 70 Orange, 020 Red, 022 Carmine Red. Leaves: 042 Turquoise Green, 048 Emerald Green. Pitcher: 031 Cobalt Blue, 036 Light Blue. Shadow: 094 Gray. Ground: 066 Dark Oatmeal. Card 2 Tulips: 070 Orange, 020 Red, 024 Wine red. Happy Birthday Humans I had so much fun playing with my distress oxide inks making galaxy backgrounds for my ATC this month I had to use some to make a card for the card challenge as well. I used the same stampsets from Gerda Steiner designs and I really love the way this birthday card turned out. Coloured the cute little aliens in bright colours with my copics after I masked the centre one then fussy cut them out.  I needed something to ground them so drew the planet freehand, coloured it and adhered it to the bottom of the galaxy panel.  Attached the birthday banner to the green alien with cord and then attached them both with mounting tape to the panel. This was then fixed to a black card base. The  sentiment and banner are also from the alien invasion set. Copics: Green Alien: YG05,07,09. Pink Alien: RV02,04,06,V000,06,12. Orange Alien: Y00,YR15,18. Planet: E000,01,40,41 and brown multi liner.

Art Deco  I cant believe it is the end of another month and time for our monthly stamp meeting. This year just seems to be flying away so fast. The theme for this month was Art Deco and I usually only do the ATC (Artist trading card) swap but since I have a few stamps for this period and some time I entered the card challenge as well. They were both coloured with copics and on the ATC I used only stamps from Docrafts Tall Urban Stamp Art Deco - Flapper and then mounted it on matching card.  ATC Copics:  Skin: E000,01,02,R20. Hair: E40,41. Dress: BG11,13,14,49,N3,7. Gloves: BG75. Background: G0000,000,11,13. Feather & Sttole: N1,3,5, Flower: YR00,12. Corner & Panel: G000,11,YR00,12. The stamp for the card was a freebie from Claire Coxon courtesy of image source. The background PP is left over from an old Decoupage set and the border die from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is computer generated, printed on contrasting CS and then all th...

Fairy Card Challenge Last month at my local Stamping Club the Card challenge was to use a Fairy images. We also have an Artist Trading  Card swap and the theme was Christmas in July. For both I choose to use  images from Mo Manning as the fairy images are gorgeous. For the card I choose the Housework fairy  and coloured her with my copics. The backing for the image is black and I used dimentionals to add it to the PP (old scrap from my stash) and then onto a black Card base. Three matching pearls, and a computer generated sentiment finished her off. Copics: Skin: E50,51,53,55,R20,22,35. Hair: YR16,20,21,24,E35. Wings: V0000,01,04. Dress and headband: BG10,11,13.
