Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge

Image
It's not the Destination It's... the Journey. Needed a card for a friend of my Hubby's and this is perfect for this fortnights Twisted Thursday challenge at the Outlawz. I make lots of male cards so have done two variations with this image from Justinkedlined called Born to be Free. Tried to link it but I had no luck. The first card I used watercolour on the bike image then fussy cut it out. Worked out where I wanted the bike and printed the sentiment unto the pattered paper that I then adhered it to a red card base. Taped the bike to the card front and a quick and easy card that didn't take long to complete. The second image is still waiting to be added to a card so will try and do it tomorrow.

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C433

Image
Have a Magical day I haven't done this challenge for a while and when I read the topic "Super Hero's" Harry Potter was the first thing that flashed into my mind so I had to try it. The image is a digi from Pixie Dust Studio and as I love Harry and to me he is a super hero it would make a great card for my daughters birthday. The background is a picture I collected somewhere and I taped it to coloured card matte then to a black card base. I coloured the image with copics and then fussy cut it out. Used dimensional tape to adhered it and the computer generated sentiment to the card.  Copics:  Skin: E00,11,13. Glasses: B0000. Hair: E49,74,77,79,W9. Shirt: C1,3. Jumper: N0,3,5. The Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge

Image
Paws-itively Fabulous Have not been doing to much craft lately but have managed to do my monthly challenges. This card is for the progressive outlaws challenge and this month the image is from Anne Fenton and I had fun colouring this adorable dog. I coloured it with copics and used a MFT pierced oval die to cut it out  then used mounting tape to adhere it onto PP from the Kaiser 61/2 in pad called Hello Today. This was then adhered to blue card, twine added and then onto a cream card base. The sentiment is an old digi one but I don't know who from.  Copics: Dog: E0000,000,11,13,18,27 & Sepia Copic Multiliner. Ball: N1,3. Sky: BG0000,000. Grass: E70, YG05, 25, 63& Sepia Copic Multiliner.

Di's Digi Designs Challenge

Image
You Are Very Special The latest challenge this fortnight on Di's Digi Designs blog is to use die cuts and/or punches and I must say I don't use mine often enough. There was a time where I used them on nearly every card so it was fun to revisit some old favourites. Have used four on my card all from Spellbinders. Two from the curved borders two set, one from the small circle set and matched it with one from their petite scalloped circle set. I cut the curved borders, adhered them to a piece of Picadilly PP from Basic Grey that was then adhered to a blue card base. After colouring my image with copics I cut it out and matted it with the scalloped blue circle. White embossed the sentiment in my misti so I could curve it to match. It is from an old heroarts set called Live and Laugh that I use often. Copics:   Rabbit: C0,1,3,N9,R12. Colorless blender 0. Flowers: Y04,13,17,38. Leraves: G12,14,28. Paper and Bow: V01,05,06. Ground: E40,70. Background: BG0000....

Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Image
Sending Hugs and kisses I have finally got back into my craft room after new carpet and new shelving. This will be the last overhaul for a long, long time as it took for ever and I am still trying to remember where everything  is. Most is in the same area but some I just had to find a new home for and it always seems to be those items you want. At least I have managed to get back to crafting. Gerda's cute image is a couple of hedgehogs and was going to make a valentines card but made it suitable for any occasion. The image is coloured with copics then cut out with a Spellbinders oval die and then adhered to a brown scalloped oval. The white heart lace die is from Couture Creations and the extra hearts cut with a EK Success punch.Computer generated the sentiment and added glossy accents to the butterflies. Copics:  Hedgehogs: E40,41,42,44,47,49,YR24. Hearts: R27. Ground: W3,5.

Just because I like this image.

Elegant Birthday Card. Didn't really plan to make a birthday card with this lovely image I found in my to colour box. Not sure how long I have had it or where it came from but she sure is gorgeous. My go to colouring medium was my favourite copics and I love the way she turned out. The contrast of the teal and orange really makes the image pop.  The PP is from Kaiser's 61/2 by 61/2 in Paper pad called Bluebelle and the border die from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is from a Gina K set called Fanciful Tags by Nina Brackett but I think it may be discontinued. A white seam binding ribbon and bow and some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink finishes of the card. Copics:  Skin & Lips: E50.51,53,R20,24. Hair: E23,25. Dress & Earrings: BG0000,09,10,11,15,49. Hat & Umbrella: YR00,02,61 Shoes: N3.5.7. Ground: W1,3,5. Background: BG0000,000,00.

Gerda Steiner Progressive Challenge

December Challenge Peace Santa As soon as I saw the image this month I had this picture in my mind of what I wanted to do with it. Taken me most of the month to find time to make the card but I'm pleased that it turned out the way I pictured. I stamped the world background stamp from Dark Room Door  with Ranger Archival Watering can ink and coloured it with distress ink Antique Linen and Tumbled Glass. I wanted it to have a softer look behind the image. Santa is coloured with copics then cut out with a pierced oval die from MFT . I printed two images and cut the banner from the second one and added it to the main image to give it some dimension. Used mounting tape to add it to the map that was then adhered to the black card base. The sentiment is computer generated and it is bigger than I normally would use but I wanted it to stand out. Copics:  Hat & Suit: R24,27,BG000. Belt: N3,5,7,9. Boots: W5,7,9,10. Skin: E51,R05,20. Beard: C0,1. Gloves: W3,5. ...

Deedee's Digi of the Month Challenge

Image
Starry Starry Night This month we are using the lovely Polar Peace set from  Deedee's Digis   for this months challenge. You can check out the challenge here .There are lots of lovely sentiments and the images are so cute. I printed of two images as I wanted to mask it and use distress inks for the background. For the stars I used liquid masking fluid and I'm happy with the result. Added some water droplets and dots with a white gel pen for snow and I had my starry starry sky. Used my copics to colour the bear and seal, added glossy accents to the scarf, large star and the noses and some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle. The sentiment was computer generated. Copics: Bear: N1,3,C1. Seal: N5,7,9. Scarf: R14,24,37. Star: Y02,08. Water: B000,00.

60th Happy Birthday Card

Image
Check out my Package Made this card a couple of weeks ago but had to wait until her birthday to post it. I didn't want to spoil the surprise and she loved it. It was her 60th and as she loved the card I made for her Hubby for his 60th had to do a similar one for her. She is a redhead and I coloured a red haired girl jumping out of a cake for his card. The image I used for her card is called Special Delivery from Redonkadoodles  and I cased the sentiment from a card I saw on Pinterest by Collette. Love these cheeky stamps and they are so much fun to colour. I kept the background fairly plain as the image needs to stand out. The PP is from a 6 x 6 pad called Stella and Rose from My Minds Eye. The sentiments were computer generated then placed on the card with the image using mounting tape to give them some dimension. Copics:  Skin: E00,02,11,R02,05. Hair: E40,47,49. Present & Arrow: BG11,23. Ribbon: R20,22,24. Background: BG0000. I love the images...

Deedee's Digis October Challenge

Image
Harvest Time Mr scarecrow is part of the wonderful images sent to us for this months challenge at Deedee's Digis. There were plenty to choose from but Mr scarecrow on his own won out. I copied him hanging on the signpost and the pumpkins to make this scene. They were coloured with copics then fussy cut and mounted onto the watercolour background. I used distress ink pads, blueprint sketch and mowed lawn that I stamped onto a piece of acetate, spritzed with water and then dipped my water paper into it. Love this easy way to do a simple background and it is different every time. Adhered it onto a ivory card base with a foam backing to keep it flat as it curled slightly. Copics: Scarecrow: Face: E70,71,R20. Jacket: B41,45. Pants: YG93,97,R24,Y38, Uni-ball Signo White Pen. Belt: C5,9,  Uni-ball Signo White Pen. Hat: E51,55,R08,Y04. Straw: Y06,17. Boots & Gloves: W5,7,9 Signpost: E27,29,31. Pumpkins: YR16,18,61,G94,99.
