Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Digi Challenge.

Image
Love you Pumpkin I made it for this months challenge. Hooray. Has been a very busy month and this is the second card I have managed to do. Just don't know where the time has gone but at least this one is ready to go. The free image is this gorgeous Hedgehog and he has the most adorable grin on that cute face. I coloured him with copics then cut him out with a MFT die then adhered it to my background. Made this by stamping with a background stamp from Darkroom Door  called fallen leaves that I coloured using distress inks to give it an Autumn feel. I added two orange strips to this panel then attached it to the brown card base. The sentiment was computer generated then cut out using a Mama Elephant die and attached to the card. I thought it was missing something so die cut some hearts with an old cuttlebug die and used mounting tape to add them on the left corner and one onto the sentiment. These have glossy accents over them  for a nice shine. Copics: Pumpkin: YR04,...

Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge

Image
Anything Goes I love this sentiment and thought it would be great for my first greeting card challenge. A quick and simple card as decided to enter at the last minute. The image and the sentiment are both from Tlc Creations  .There are some amazing vintage images found on the site and Paulette is very generous with her freebies. I masked a strip on the front of the card base and used distress inks to colour over the image and that's it.

Freebie Progressive Challenge

The Outlawz Digi Freebie Challenge Gidday From Australia Had trouble for a few days on just what I would do with this great image from Jen at  Jencraftygoodies  Then it was like a light bulb going off. Make it Crafty is an Aussie site that have lovely digis that you can create scenes with and I had my card. I used some element's from this collection  that I coloured with copics for the background and then coloured the freebie and cut it out. So happy with the way it turned out and I had to add a typical Aussie greeting. Found an old piece of corrugated card, added my scene then added it to a top folding card base.   Copics Boy Skin: E50,51,,53,R20. Hair: Y26,38,YR24,31. Eyes: B14, White Gel Pen. Jeans: B93,95,97. Gerda Steiner June/July Challenge

Image
Gerda's  June/July Challenge Watermelon Kid Gerda is having a summer break so we have two lovely images for latest challenge . I have coloured both but this is the only one to make it on to a card. Hopefully will get the next one done before the cut off date. Watermelon is such a happy summery image and just screamed to be coloured in bright colours. As we are in winter down here in Australia was nice to think of warm weather. Kept it simple and coloured with my favouites, copics, and am happy with it. The sun is  from a set by Verve  (currently out of stock) but was just  right  for this scene. The sentiment is from the same set. The boy is layered and fussy cut as well as the sun, then mounted with dimensional tape on white card. I then added it to a blue card base. Copics: Skin E000,11,13,R20 Hair YR21,E25,35,37,77 Shirt Y06,08,15 Pants B95,97,99 Watermelon G14,28,R000,24,Black Multiliner pen 0.1

Little Stinker This latest challenge digital image is just so cute and I really like the way it turned out. Wasn't really sure on the right colours of the little fellow but google search soon fixed that. Nearly didn't get the challenge done this month as I was away and left the printout at home. Thought I was all organzied but that's life. Stinky is coloured with copics then cut out with Simon Says Stamps stitched rectangle die . Added some orange and white twine then mounted the piece back in the negative of the die. The sentiment is from GinaKs Elegant Flowers stamp se t. Added some glossy accents on the flower, Rangers black enamel accents on the nose and eyes to finish off. Oh, I just had to give him some spots to brighten that cute smiley face.

Poppies

Image
Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 32 Have had this image for a while and thought the challenge over on Doodle Pantry was the perfect time to colour it up. The poppy has a special meaning for us in Australia on Remembrance Day. It is when on the eleventh hour on the eleven day of the eleven month, the nation stops for a minute's silence, to remember those who sacrificed their lives in war. On this day we wear a red poppy in remembrance. The red poppy has become a familar emblem of Remebrance Day due to the poem "In Flanders Fields". These poppies bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in WW 1, their brilliant red colour an appropiate symbol for the blood spilled in war. In Flanders Field In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scare heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago  we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, ...

Geeky Love

Image
Getting Married Been awhile since my last post but have been busy seeing specialists etc and I am booked in to have my knee fixed next week. Only day surgery and should be back to normal in no time. Just so finally glad they found out what was causing all the pain and it is nothing major. Did managed this card for the card challenge at my local craft shop WIP . They make up packs and you have to use what they supply to make a card. You can add extras but the majority must be from the pack. I choose a digital image from Make it Crafty   called Geeky Love Getting Married as it seemed the perfect fit . I coloured it with copics and added the heart pins, red roses. Copics Skin: E000,E02, E11, E13. Hair Bride: YR000, YR12, YR16, E17. Groom: E47, E55, E57. Dress: W0, W1, W3, W5. Suit: C1, C3, C5, C7. Bouquet: R27, YG06.

Inspiration Challenge CDAC

Image
Birthday Hugs This is my card for the Inspiration Challenge  on CDAC using the colours below. The image is from Cuddly Bubbly by Pachela Studios and I coloured it using Jasart water colour pencils. The DP's are from Kaiser (blue & ivy), My Minds Eye (follow your heart), Echo Park (dots & stripes candy shoppe), Bow Bunny ( alora collection) and K & C Company (daisy pad). . Love that they are different 6 X 6 pads and yet they all match. The strips were cut using MFT  Fishtail Flag die, small doily from Cheery Lyn, and  added some gauze under image. The sentiment is computer generated and bling Kaiser.
