Love U I'm always running late with the monthly challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs so I am going to try this year to do it a bit earlier. It's not a New Years resolutions as I never seem to sick to them but at least I have managed February's as I started badly in January. These are such cute bunnies but I wanted to add more flowers so printed three images so I could fussy cut some extras to make it like a bouquet. They were coloured with copics, cut out with a Mama Elephant stitched die, the added to some orange card. I adhered a strip of grey gingham, Rosie's studio paper pad, to the black card base then attached the image and the simple sentiment. They are from an old Hot of the Press set of words that has to be 15 years old but they are great for creating your own sentiments.     Copics:  Grey Bunny: C0,1,3,5. Brown Bunny: E01,02,11,15. Flowers: YR15,R27,G05. Ground: E31,35. Shadow: BG0000,G0000,C000.

Love at Christmas Decided to make a Christmas card with this adorable image and love the way it turned out. I nearly didn't make it as I decided to have a break and spend time with friends and family this month. Time just seemed to fly and then Christmas and now nearly New Year. Also had to fit in my 70th birthday on the 16th Dec and our 49th wedding anniversary on the 27th Dec. It's been hectic.  The card is cas as the image and sentiment says it all. The hat is one of Gerda's and is perfect for this cute bunny. The sentiment is mine and says what Christmas is all about for me. I used copics to colour and printed the sentiment on the computer. Nice and easy. Copics:  Bunny: E01,31,35,37. Hat: R27,37,89,N1,GB000. Heart: R05,08,12. Ground: N1,3.

I didn't lick the Spoon The cutie this month is called Sweet Tooth Mous e and there is still a few days left to enter. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw it was he is going to lick the spoon so that is my title. I made the background with Oxide Distress Inks salty ocean, wilted violet and twisted citron. Having so much fun playing with them and trying different colour combinations and I love they mix so well. The mouse is coloured with copics and then fussy cut out. Printed the sentiment, adhered it to a strip of coloured card stock and added it to the card base, 512/ x 5/12 with dimensional tape. The mouse was also adhered with dimensional tape. A few sequins finishes of the card. Copics: Mouse: E40,41,42,44.R30. Bowl: B32,34,37,YR61,68. Spoon: E02,13,15,

Strawberry Mouse I never get tired of colouring these fabulous images from Gerda Steiner Designs and this one is so cute. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. Copics: Mouse: W00.0.1.3.5.R20. Strawberries: Y17,R02,08,59,YG17,G29.  Shadows: E70,B0000.

When Life Gives You Lemons I can't believe the month has just about gone. Time flies bye so fast and I never seem to get all the things I want to do done. Being a short month doesn't help but I did get this months challenge finished.  The freebie is this adorable piggy   (still time to play) making a real mess of himself. I coloured him with my copics, cut the image out with a die from Simon says Stamps and then had fun adding the chocolate bars around him. I found the bar on google, made it the size I wanted then printed and cut them out. The sentiment is an old freebie from Paulaposts.blogspot.com I thought was perfect for this as I don't do Valentines day cards.  My hubby and I have never celebrated just one day as we felt it should be something that you do anytime. It seems to have worked for us as we have managed to last the last 48 Yrs. He still surprises me often and I love doing the same. Makes it a lot more fun. Copics:  Piggy: R000,20,2...

Sending Hugs and kisses I have finally got back into my craft room after new carpet and new shelving. This will be the last overhaul for a long, long time as it took for ever and I am still trying to remember where everything  is. Most is in the same area but some I just had to find a new home for and it always seems to be those items you want. At least I have managed to get back to crafting. Gerda's cute image is a couple of hedgehogs and was going to make a valentines card but made it suitable for any occasion. The image is coloured with copics then cut out with a Spellbinders oval die and then adhered to a brown scalloped oval. The white heart lace die is from Couture Creations and the extra hearts cut with a EK Success punch.Computer generated the sentiment and added glossy accents to the butterflies. Copics:  Hedgehogs: E40,41,42,44,47,49,YR24. Hearts: R27. Ground: W3,5.

Parachute Piggy The Freebie this month is this cute image of a pig parachuting and since I am on a roll this week with Christmas cards it had be a card to add to the pile. I printed the image twice, one for the base panel and one to colour and fussy cut. The base panel was cut to 5 ins and I masked an area at the bottom for the snow bank and used distress inks for the sky. When I was happy with the colour I stamped the tops of the trees from the SU Wonderland set in versafine black ink, removed the mask and added Shaded Lilac to the snow bank. Added snowflakes with MIC Falling Snow background stamp using SU Whisper White ink. Coloured piggy and the parachute with copics, fussy cut them out and adhered them on the card panel. The banner is from SU Hello December and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Vintage Ornaments and I used mounting tape to adhere it for some dimension. The panel was then mounted onto a 51/4 in white card base. The distress inks used Tumbled Glass, Salty O...

Swimming By To Say Hi This lovely mermaid is this month beautiful image from Gerda Steiner designs for the monthly challenge. Gerda will send you the freebie every month if you join and buy the first one and make a card etc and link it to the challenge. A lovely way to add to your digi collection and her images are adorable. I enjoy making scenes and this one is maybe a little bit fussy but it was fun. The background is made by colouring water colour paper using distress inks then adding salt when it is still wet. The salt absorbs the moisture and you are left with this lovely mottled background. I used heavy cardstock on this card as I wanted a more spotty look. The mermaid and shells are coloured with copics and the seaweed and small fish are  from a stamp set by Kaiser called Mermaid tails.  The shells are from two Darkroom Door sets called Seaside Vol 1  and Seaside Vol 2  and some extra seaweed from the Under the sea set . The sentiment was computer generated...

Friends For Ever I cant believe it has been a month since I last posted on my blog. I know I'm not the greatest at keeping it up to date but things have been in a bit of turmoil here. Just haven't had much time to craft and after three sympathy card I really didn't feel very inspired. They say things come in threes so hope that is true. Have three projects that have to be done and this is the first. This turned out fun and was just what I needed. This card was made with the freebie Penguin  for this months Gerda Steiner challenge. There is still time if you want to purchase this image and enter the challenge. If you do you will get next months image free and add another lovely digi to your collection. Added some friends for the picnic, you can find the images here , as he looked rather lonely by himself. I coloured the scene with my copics, layered it on yellow card then onto a wood grain PP from a Cre8tiv 6 x 6 mini pad. This was then adhered to a matching ye...

Hanging Around. The free image this month is this cute monkey and just had to make a fun birthday card with it. Coloured him with my copics and used some Broken China distress ink around the edges to darken the background before gluing it to piece of wood panel PP. Drew the balloons, coloured them and then fussy cut them out and added thread before adhering them to the image panel. This was then mounted to green PP and onto the light brown card base. Had to add some sparkle with my new Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to the balloons. A card has to have some sparkle somewhere. Copics:  Monkey: E11,13,15,17,18,RV02. Branch: E23,25,27. Leaves: G82,85. Balloons: YG07,G03,Y06,08,R05,08.
