Less is MoreChallenge #317

Image
Cherish the simple Pleasures Pulled out an old stamp set from G ina K called Spring has Sprung and picked this cute duck sailing away to colour. We are heading for cooler weather while you are into spring so it seemed the perfect image  to use. I am still having fun with watercolour but used my new Zig clean colour brush markers. They are different to work with but used a hot pressed watercolour paper that is smoother and I seem to be getting the hang of it. I guess it just needs more practise.  The image is cut with a spellbinders circle die and the waves are a stencil from Simon says stamps. I made the sentiment in Photoshop as I wanted it to follow the curve of the waves then hand cut it out in a banner shape. I am entering it in the challenge below.

All Dressed Up Challenge 65

Cute Just Got Cuter Have just re-organized my craft room and catching up with some card making. I will not be doing any changes for a while, if ever as it has taken days to sort and then find things again. Hubby helped to pack it up so we could put more shelves in after the new carpet and he throw things in any box and didn't label any of them. At least I have more work space and he was was a great help. The card image was a freebie I have had printed out for awhile and it was time I used it. Have a friends birthday coming up and she has just acquired a new dog so thought this would be a great image for her birthday card. Coloured the image with copics and used a scarp of PP from an old pack from Gina K that I adhered to a aqua card base. Kept it simple and I am looking forward to making more with the box of images I found to colour. Copics:  Dog: E000,00,23,25,31,R20. Bow: BG11,15,49. Ground: W3,5. Shadow C0. Red Fine Tipped Gel Pen was used for the heart....

ACTSA 1-4-1 ATC Monthly Swap

Image
Dinosaurs This ATC is for our monthly swap so had to have it done.  This month the theme was Origins of life - prehistoric -dinosaurs, cavemen, tribal Africa. Plenty to choose from and I finally went with dinosaurs. This triceratops, palm tree and volcano is from Gina K  designs called Dino-mite that I have had for ages and is such a versatile and cute set with great  sentiments.  It is such a shame it is no longer available. I stamped the dinosaur twice, once on watercolour paper then on a scrap piece to use for a mask. I fussy cut the one on the scrap paper, placed it over the image on the watercolour paper, then stamped the volcano and palm tree. I used my distress inks to colour the scene. This is the second project on my to do list so just one more and I can think about getting ready for my Bali trip.
