For Your Special Day This adorable image is from Sheepski Designs  and is the freebie for the Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge. It did start out as a valentines day card but ended up as a birthday card for a dear friend. Kept it fairly simple with copic colouring, then cut it out with a heart die. Decided to draw a large heart then hand cut it out for the card base. Added some stitching, a few sequins and a sentiment from the Just Because stamp set from Create a Smile.  Copics: Bear: YR21,24,30,E23,29. Love: RV99,R08,59. Hearts: R27,46,Black0.1 Copic Multi liner. Shadow: BG0000,000. Ground: W00,1,3. I am entering this in the  Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge Crazy4Challenges_C4C468 Sheepski Designs Monthly Challenge

For Your Special Day This must be a record for me, the first week of the monthly challenge and I  have finished my card. I had never seen a wild rose so I googled it and this was the most common colours I found. The image from Beccy's was a joy to colour and I layered the three of the flowers for dimension, scored around the card then attached it to a pink card base. Thought that was it but something seemed to be missing so I added a couple of strips of black glitter paper and they really made it pop. The sentiment is from a set from Create a Smile called Just Because that was embossed with white on black card. Close-up of flowers Copics: Flowers: RV000,11,14. Leaves: YG1,17,25,67,G43. Stems: E25,YG95.

Paws-itively Fabulous Have not been doing to much craft lately but have managed to do my monthly challenges. This card is for the progressive outlaws challenge and this month the image is from Anne Fenton and I had fun colouring this adorable dog. I coloured it with copics and used a MFT pierced oval die to cut it out  then used mounting tape to adhere it onto PP from the Kaiser 61/2 in pad called Hello Today. This was then adhered to blue card, twine added and then onto a cream card base. The sentiment is an old digi one but I don't know who from.  Copics: Dog: E0000,000,11,13,18,27 & Sepia Copic Multiliner. Ball: N1,3. Sky: BG0000,000. Grass: E70, YG05, 25, 63& Sepia Copic Multiliner.

Spread Your Wings. This month the Image is designed by Mary Smith for Createful Heart Digis and on the Progressive  Freebie team. It is a lovely image and great to colour. I did have to Google hummingbirds as I had no idea what colours they where and there are a lot. I printed two, coloured one with my copics and just the bird on the second image. Used a Spellbinders circle die to cut it out and then placed a die from Kaiser called circle vines over the top and trimmed it to fit. I made sure the bud and the bird tail were not cut cut so they could hang over the die to give it some dimension. Added the second bird with mounting tape after I fussy cut it out, fixed to a purple card base and a nice clean and simple card to add to my stash. Copics:  Flowers: V04,BV11,13,17,YR68. Leaves & Stems: G12,14,24,28,29. Bird: E11,13,44,47,G24,YG41,N9. Shadow: N1,C0.

Butterfly Kisses Finally have some time and space to get back into crafting. Had new carpet laid so that meant I had to dismantle my craft room and move everything out. Took ages to get it back together and I am still looking for things. At least it is now tidy so hopefully it will stay that way for a while. This month the image is from All Dressed Up  and she is gorgeous. Kept the image large and added the sentiment then coloured her with copics. Tried a new hair combo and like the result. The PP is from a Kaiser 61/2 x 61/2 pad called Mademoiselle and I punched 3 butterflies from the same PP and added some copic colour and pearls to them so they would stand out. Added a pearl to the bag for extra bling. Copics: Skin & Lips: E50,51,53,R20,RV23. Hair: Y000,00,E40,41. Dress: YG11,13,Y00,02,06 & black copic multiliner 0.1 Scarf:& Beanie: B18,21,23,26. Bag: B21,23. Butterfly: BV01,04,BG000,11 & sepia copic multiliner 0.3 Shadow: B0000.  ...

Juggling Tiger This months image is from Gerda Steiner and is this cute image called juggling tiger. Gerda has an amazing range of cute animals in both stamps and digis and they are so easy to colour. I used copics for all of the colouring except the sky. I masked the images with masking liquid and then blended with tumbled glass and stormy sky distress inks. I find I usually get a nice smooth blend if I just take my time. The stump is an old stamp from Whiff of Joy which had only one flower so I stamped 4 more then fussy cut them out and added for some dimension. I finished by adding glossy accents to the balls and the tigers nose after I mounted the coloured panel onto dark blue then a lighter blue card base. The sentiment is computer generated. Copics: Tiger: YR00,02,04,18,E43,49. Balls: BG23,R46,Y18.YR68,BY02. Stump: E41,43,44,47. Grass & Leaves: YG21,23,25. Flowers: Y04,08,E07.

Woman Hear Me Roar Love this image and my first thoughts were how confident and completely in control she looks. A girl with attitude hence the title. That Helen Reddy song sums it up beautifully. Kept it Cas so the image stands out and coloured her with copics. The stripes of card down the sides were coloured in the same colour as her dress. Love doing this so I don't have to worry about matching cardstock.  Copics: Skin: E11,51,R20. Hair: E40,49.50,74,79. Lips & Eyes: R56,85,G43. Fress: BV31,34. Flowers: Y000,04,YR02,G43,C0. Shadows: BV0000,000.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon I thought I had posted this on my blog but for some reason I just did a draft and then forgot about it so here it is better late than Never.  This months freebie is from Beccy at Beccy's place  and she has to be one of my favourite digi artists. She has so many gorgeous images and such variety that's it hard to choose just a few. I love her rocking chair but I struggled with this image at first but now it's all done I like the relaxing feeling the card seems to evoke. At first I was just going to use the chair but thought it needed something else so I added this umbrella . I coloured the images with copics and used a warm grey for the shadow. The background was done with Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron distress inks. The panel was mounted on blue CS, adhered to a PP panel from Kaiser's Sweet Nothings 6 1/2 in x 6 1/2 in pad then onto a card base. A nice clean and simple card that makes me want to spend a lazy afternoon just reading in this r...

Happy Birthday Mum This month the freebie for the challenge is a lovely image from Andrea Norris of Sheepski Designs . I decided to make a birthday card and will give it to a friend for her Mum. The image is coloured with copics and I kept it clean and simple The sentiment and banner die are from the Hero Arts March kit. Used silver embossing powder on the sentiment, die cut it with the matching die and adhered it to the card with foam tape for some dimension. Added a few sequins and adhered it to a pink card base. Copics: Flowers: RV000,21,23,91,YR14,YG07. Mum: B34,37,39. Background: G0000,000. Added Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear sparkle pen to the Mum.

Happy Christmas Little Star The freebie this month is from All Dressed Up and she is adorable. I wasn't going to post my card as everything that can go wrong did for this one. I was planning on using water colouring but printed in out on the ink jet printer on the water colour paper. They really don't mix and even heat setting didn't help. I hate to waste so I decided to use Prisma pencils but have never done it on the watercolour paper. The bumpy paper is really not the best surface, in fact it was hard work getting the pencils to blend but I persevered and I think I finally managed to achieve a reasonable card front. I am definitely going to give it another shot but later. The sentiment is a die from Impression Obsession  and the border snowflakes from Couture Creations but it is no longer available. They release so many and it is hard to get older ones. I adhered then to the image and then onto a blue card base. Still not all that happy with it but with Christmas just...

Autumn's Splendour The image for this months challenge is this Autumn image donated by Gerda Steiner Designs and it was so much fun to colour. Gerda has so many cute images as well as clear stamps and her critters are just gorgeous. I decided to make a scene so added this Make it Crafty  tree, drew in the grass and then coloured it with my copics. I wanted to have a feel of the cold weather that follows Autumn and happy with the way it turned out, especially the sky. The PP is an old scrap from Hot of the press and added some burlap over the top of it before adhering it to the card base. I then adhered the matted image with mounting tape to the base to give it some dimension. A touch of Wink a Stella clear to the hat trim to finish, though it does not show on the photo. Copics:  Skin: E000,02,11,R20. Hair: E49. Hat & Coat: R24,29,87. Scarf: B26,29,Y13. Boots: N1,5,9. Wagon: N1,3,5,7,E70,71,74,79. Pumpkins: YR04,18,21,YG93,99. Tree: E27,55,57,YG95...
