Born To Be Wild Birthday Card

Image
Born to Be Wild A friend asked if I could make a card for a special friend for her 50th birthday and if it could have a motorbike theme and this is the result. The stamp is from Whimsy stamps and is part of their KennyK Collection but is no longer available. KennyK has their own on-line store but you need to be quick as they are closing at the end of this month. I coloured the image with copics, then layered it onto PP from a Kaiser 61/2 x 61/2 pad called Attitude. Before adhering it to a grey card base I wrapped twine around with an attached bike charm, then added some gears and cogs. The sentiment is a digi from Just Ink Lined . Copics: Skin: E50,51,53,R20. Lips: R22. Hair: E07,08,09,11,18. Eyes: BG000. Tank Top: C1,3. Hat,Top & Pants: B93,95,97,99. Belt: $44,C3. Boots: C1,5,7. Bike: R59,89,RV69,C0,1,3,5,7,9. Ground: W1,3,5. Shadow: W0,1.

Crazy4Challenges - C4C373

Image
Born to be Wild This week the challenge is a sketch and for me it's not something I use very often. I usually stamp or print my image, colour it and then just wing it. Most times it works but I confess it makes for some chopping and changing that takes time. This was for me a fast card and I maybe should do them more often. The image is from Just Inked Lined  and as my DH has a Harley I make lots of bikie cards. I coloured it with copics and then fussy cut it, adhered it to a piece of Kaiser PP from their Base Coat range. The sentiment I heard of years ago and use it often as my Hubby says that sums up what it feels like to ride. Born to be wild is from the same set. Adhered it all to a red card base. Copics:  Bike: R17,22,27,29,N1,3,5,C0,1,5,7,9. Blinkers: YR00,02. Lights: B01,C0. Shadow: W0.

70 Steampunk or Urban

Image
Tuesday, September 09, 2014 70 Steampunk or Urban Decided that I have to push myself to do something out of my comfort zone every now and again and this is the start. Saw a card by the lovely Jess Hawkins on FB and it went from there. Check her lovely blog here  . Have used an old Whimsy stamp from the KennyK collection called Biker girl and coloured her with copics. The paper is Kasier Basecoat and Bookprint from Docrafts Papermania. The graffiti is from  Little Miss Muffet Stamps  and sentiment from Just Inked Lined Born to be Wild  . I fussy cut the image and mounted it with the  sentiment on the card to add dimension.  I am entering this in the  70 Steampunk/Urban Challenge on Creative Card Crew
