Outlawz Progressive Monthly Challenge

Image
Hello Friend Late as usual with my entry but I have been busy and had a lovely break with friends just relaxing  with no computers. I even had my phone off most of the time and I didn't miss it at all. Just sent a message once a day to the our daughters and told them only to ring if desperate. So peaceful and we all managed fine and the world did not end. The image this month is gorgeous and I tried something different. Have had this old set of cheap watercolour pencils that I have been going to throw away but  had a play and here is the result. Not the best but was fun trying to just stick with the few colours in the set.

Donuts Never seem to have time to post to the blog but at least I did the monthly challenge over at Outlawz a bit earlier than normal for me so here it is. I love this image by Sandra Caldwell and had fun trying to find a quirky sentiment  for it and then remembered this digi site here in Australia and she has so many funny ones and lots of freebies. As usual I coloured with copics and layered the image, added some sequins and a ribbon & bow.  Copics:  Donut: RV63,66.E35,YR24. Hippo: No,1,3,5,7. Shirt: BG10,23,27,RV69 & white gel pen. Bow: V93,95,99. Ground: E000,01,02. Shadow: BG0000.

Moonlight Harvest Cutting it close again but finally finished this afternoon. This was fun to colour but time consuming and happy it turned out so well. The image was coloured with copics, hightlighted the fence, cat, tree & pumpkins with a touch of white gel pen and adhered it to a narrow light brown piece of card then unto a dark blue card base. No sentiment as I didn't want to clutter it. May add one later.  Copics: Moon: YR00,30,Y20,E40. Sky: BV29,B21,32,34,37,39, White Pencil. Cat: N1,3,5,7. Pumpkins: YR12,16,18,68,YG93,95,97. Tree & Leaves: E31,35,57,R05,12,YG12,21. Fence: E15,18

Merry Christmas From Down Under This is the a different snowman card as the weather here is hot, hot, hot. It just didn't seem right to make a card with snow when I was sitting in my room with the cooler on a steady 20c and outside it's 32c. We have had a run of hot days and with Christmas I just haven't had the time to post my card. I made a Sandman chilling on the beach and like the way it came together. The background is a Digi from Make it Crafty  that I reversed and added a computer generated sentiment to. The sky is coloured with tumbled glass and salty ocean distress inks and the rest with copics. I fussy cut the sandman after I coloured him with copics and layered him on the background with mounting tape. This was then adhered to a brown mat and then unto a kraft card. Added some glossy accents to the buttons and carrot. Copics:  Sandman: E55,51,53,55,57,W10. CarrotYR07. Flower: R08,37,89,YR16. Hat & Scarf: B00,12,14,N1. Sign: E23,25. White ...

January Challenge Birthday Card My first card for 2016 as I decided to have a nice break. Maybe not a great idea as I got an invitation from a dear friend for a week in Bali for her sister in law's birthday at the last moment and you can't turn down that. Now trying to get things done before I leave next week. Don't Know about others but found my mogo seems to be having a break too. Kept it clean and simple and hope the birthday girl likes it. Sentiment is from a set from SU called Birthday Blossoms. Had to cut it in half to fit but doesn't hurt the stamp and you get more use that way. The image is from Sandi's Samples . The only embellishment is the three hearts, coloured to match then added with mounting tape. Also added Dimensional Magic to add a bit of gloss. Copics:  Roses: R81,83,85,89. Leaves: G24,YG67. Shadow: C0.1.3.

Voodoo King The image this month is from SLS Lines and it is different .This image is right out of my comfort zone but I must admit it was fun to do something I would never have chosen to do. Maybe I should try something like this again. The colours used are what I pictured in my head and are probably no resemblance to anything connected to a voodoo king. I just let my imagination run wild and love the look. Used my copics to colour the king and a stencil from MFT on the background. The background paper used is an old piece of coredinations core colour in a pale mauve that seemed to suit the image. The sentiment is computer generated. Copics:  Face: W1,3,5,9,R59,G00,N5. Hair: N1.5.7. Feathers: G17,29. Suit & Hat: BV22,25,29, White Gel Pen. Bottle: Y00,E77. Flowers: V000,01. Dolls: E70,71. Necklace: R37,C1,White Gel Pen. Rope: E40.

Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge

Spring Birthday It's spring here in Canberra Australia and this image is just perfect for a spring birthday. All the blossom and spring bulbs are out and the weather has been lovely and warm the last week. The image is the freebie from Ignacio by Nicecrane for the Outlawz Freebie Progressive monthly challenge. I coloured her with copics then cut her out with a Nellie Snellen  die, layered it on pink Spellbinder oval  and then on the Kaiser PP from their Chanteuse Collection. The flowers and birds were fussy cut from the same PP. The sentiment is from a set called It's your Birthday by Simon Says Stamp. Copics: Skin: E000,00,02,R20,21. Hair: E41,43 and Sepia Copic Multiliner 0.3. Hat: RV21,23,25,E49,71. Dress: RV21,23,25,YG03,91,93,95. Legs & Shoes: YG03,91,93,95,RV21,23,25. Background: R0000. Ground: W0,1,3.

Wishful Asha I can't believe it's the end of the month and that means my card for the progressive challenge is due. The image for August is this adorable Asha from Make it Crafty  that Zoe was so generous in donating. She is from the Meadow Girls Digi Stamp Collection and is sold separately as well. This is the first time I have coloured an image with such flowing hair as I didn't think I had the confidence but it's not as scary as I thought. It just takes time and the old saying is plenty of practice makes it perfect. I need lots and lots of practice. Used my copics and added a greeting from an old Hot of the Press set. The circle dies are from Spellbinders and the Stitched Squares from Simon Says Stamps. The image and PP was taped to green card stock then I used dimensionals to add it to a pink card base. The PP is from and old Pink Paislee pad called Spring Jubilee and I added clear Wink of Stella to the butterfly and flowers..    Copics:  Skin: E00...
