Gerda's  June/July Challenge Watermelon Kid Gerda is having a summer break so we have two lovely images for latest challenge . I have coloured both but this is the only one to make it on to a card. Hopefully will get the next one done before the cut off date. Watermelon is such a happy summery image and just screamed to be coloured in bright colours. As we are in winter down here in Australia was nice to think of warm weather. Kept it simple and coloured with my favouites, copics, and am happy with it. The sun is  from a set by Verve  (currently out of stock) but was just  right  for this scene. The sentiment is from the same set. The boy is layered and fussy cut as well as the sun, then mounted with dimensional tape on white card. I then added it to a blue card base. Gerda Steiner August Challenge.

Best Buds Freebie challenge. This image from Gerda this month is just so cute and I have kept the card simple to show it off. I used a background like this for an ATC I did last week and liked it so much I am using it again. This time I added the moon and some grass diecuts and love the finished card. The image is coloured with copics and the sky is brayered with a Kaleidacolor ink pad in blue breeze. It makes such a beautiful night sky. The stars are so easy to do with a white gel pen. Just add different sized dots and voila, a lovely night scene. The image was fussy cut and added using dimentionals and the sentiment was stamped in white ink with an old alphabet set from Making Memories.  Copics:  Dog: E55,57,W10, white gel pen for tail. CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE

New Digi Challenge   The first CDAC Progressive challenge this year is an image from S hellys images  and it is gorgeous. I printed the image twice, coloured her with copics then fussy cut one to mount over the card front. She was then doubled mounted with black and blue CS and adhered to the card base. I really love the CAS look of this card.      Copics: Skin E000, E00, E02, R20. Hair E70, E71, E74, E77. Wings B0000, B000, C3, C5. Heart Y11, Y15, Y17, Y23, Y28, C1, C3.
