Resist Day 3

Today there were some interesting embossing videos and I decided to case a technique and card by Kristina. I remember doing this years ago but this time I had a lot of trouble ironing of the embossing so I could stamp on top of it. Finally was happy enough with it to make a card but I think I will try another embossing powder next time to see if it makes it a bit easier. The background stamp is from Hero Arts called Dots Background and the sentiment from the Stampin Up set  Really Good Greetings. I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours to paint the background and the hearts were embossed with a coarse embossing enamel to give it a thick glossy finish. Added a few sequins to finish it of.

    it's a beautiful card :) I had a hard time ironing the embossing of too.... are also planning on trying different powders :)

Gerda's  June/July Challenge Watermelon Kid Gerda is having a summer break so we have two lovely images for latest challenge . I have coloured both but this is the only one to make it on to a card. Hopefully will get the next one done before the cut off date. Watermelon is such a happy summery image and just screamed to be coloured in bright colours. As we are in winter down here in Australia was nice to think of warm weather. Kept it simple and coloured with my favouites, copics, and am happy with it. The sun is  from a set by Verve  (currently out of stock) but was just  right  for this scene. The sentiment is from the same set. The boy is layered and fussy cut as well as the sun, then mounted with dimensional tape on white card. I then added it to a blue card base. CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE

New Digi Challenge   The first CDAC Progressive challenge this year is an image from S hellys images  and it is gorgeous. I printed the image twice, coloured her with copics then fussy cut one to mount over the card front. She was then doubled mounted with black and blue CS and adhered to the card base. I really love the CAS look of this card.      Copics: Skin E000, E00, E02, R20. Hair E70, E71, E74, E77. Wings B0000, B000, C3, C5. Heart Y11, Y15, Y17, Y23, Y28, C1, C3.

AAA Cards Cas Challenge

Have a Fabulous Birthday I have been messing around with watercolours so this challenge fits right in. The stamp is from Penny black  called Divine and was such fun to colour. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and then just played with different colours. Used a paint set I bought from my local Hot Dollar store ages ago and though they are not the greatest I had fun. Watercolouring is fun as you do not want it to be perfect and I love the patterns the paint creates. Different every time. The sentiment is from Stampin' ups Thoughtful Banners set. It is great for making up your own sayings as the words are all separate. I white embossed it on black card to give the card some contrast. I am entering the card into the Cas Game #84 Watercolour challenge. I am also adding it to Uniko Studio Happy 5th Birthday party Link.
