Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge
Parachute Piggy
The Freebie this month is this cute image of a pig parachuting and since I am on a roll this week with Christmas cards it had be a card to add to the pile. I printed the image twice, one for the base panel and one to colour and fussy cut. The base panel was cut to 5 ins and I masked an area at the bottom for the snow bank and used distress inks for the sky. When I was happy with the colour I stamped the tops of the trees from the SU Wonderland set in versafine black ink, removed the mask and added Shaded Lilac to the snow bank. Added snowflakes with MIC Falling Snow background stamp using SU Whisper White ink. Coloured piggy and the parachute with copics, fussy cut them out and adhered them on the card panel. The banner is from SU Hello December and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Vintage Ornaments and I used mounting tape to adhere it for some dimension. The panel was then mounted onto a 51/4 in white card base.
The distress inks used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Fade Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Shaded Lilac.
