Birthday Cards Needed to make four cards this week and I am pleased to say that I managed in three days. I'm not the fasted card maker and I can get distracted web browsing to often. The first is for a special friend for his 60th. The digital image is from Redonkadoodles  and I just love their cheeky images. Used my copics and left the card simple to show of the image. Copics: Skin E50, E51, E53, R20. Hair: C3, C5, C7. Cake: E17, E19, E95. Icing: E000, E11, E41. Cherries: R46, R89. Ribbon: B12, B14, B16. Shadow: B0000 The next three for some special friends that make life so much better for knowing them.  Two images are coloured with copics and I used SU stamps. On card one I used Stippled Blossoms, stamped flower twice in pink (kaiser), leaves in cottage ivy (memento) then fussy cut one flower and some leaves to add dimension. The patterned paper is from Lily of the Valley 8"x 8" bonnets and bowties pad. Card two I used a flower and the leave...

January's Challenge - Dachshund in Love This year I am going to try and do my blog more often than last year. Should manage as last year was terrible. My first post is for the Gerda Steiner designs challenge . If you buy the image and make a card she will send you next months challenge image free. A great way to add to your collection and the images are gorgeous. I coloured the dachshund with copics, cut out some extra balloons and a nice simple card. The CS is all odd pieces from my stash and an old piece of alcohol ink background. The sentiment was an old one that was given to me so don't know from who. Stitched Squares from SSS Stamps, some twine and one sequin. Copics: Dachshund: C3, C5, C7. Balloons: BV0000, V15, V17, BG10, BG13, BG23, YR00,YR12, YR16. Shadows: E47, BV0000. 70 Steampunk or Urban

Image
Tuesday, September 09, 2014 70 Steampunk or Urban Decided that I have to push myself to do something out of my comfort zone every now and again and this is the start. Saw a card by the lovely Jess Hawkins on FB and it went from there. Check her lovely blog here  . Have used an old Whimsy stamp from the KennyK collection called Biker girl and coloured her with copics. The paper is Kasier Basecoat and Bookprint from Docrafts Papermania. The graffiti is from  Little Miss Muffet Stamps  and sentiment from Just Inked Lined Born to be Wild  . I fussy cut the image and mounted it with the  sentiment on the card to add dimension.  I am entering this in the  70 Steampunk/Urban Challenge on Creative Card Crew

On-line class Stretch Your Stamps 2

Day 1 I finally plucked up the courage to enroll in an on-line class and it's so much fun. The class is called Stretch your stamps 2  and the cards and techniques are all shown on video and there is a PDF download to match. It has a least got me back on my poor neglected bog. I have completed cards for the first day (background stamps day 1 & 2) and I'm pretty happy with them. The first two cards use the technique Multilayer Emboss Resist – Regular Background Stamps by Kristina Werner featuring watercolor resist.        The next card used Cut Out Portions of Patterns – Regular Background Stamps f eaturing portions cut from background stamp to create embellishments by Tasnim Ahmed I used a dye-cut on this card and love how it turned out. This next one I cut the background into diamonds. Faux Watercolor Stamping – Reverse Background Stamps by Shari Carroll The last was by Lisa Spangler  Mist Resist – Revers...

Have just about finished my Christmas cards for this year. All ready to post or deliver so should beat the rush at the post office. These two I did today for two old friends as I wont be able to catch up before Christmas. Used an image from the Penny Black stamp set  the Wonder . They are just so cute and seem to be getting plenty of use this Christmas. The first one was made using scraps so I have no idea of the name of the PP and coloured with copics. Progressive Christmas Challenge 4

Image
Christmas Bells This is my first card for the latest Lady Anne's Christmas Challenge . The image from Priscillastyles  was coloured with copics (still addicted) then cut out and mounted on a Spellinders Stately Circle die. The PP is from an old Ruby Rocket pack and border die from Stampin up. Added some twine from Lime Tart  and a charm from Craft Queen . It was silver but didn't match so I coloured it with copic marker YR14.  Copics used: Bell : YR14, Y17, Y28, W7, C1. Ribbon : R27, R59. Leaves : G17, G24, G29. B/Ground : C0, C3. The Merry Christmas Die cut was coloured with G05 and R37 then coated with Glossy Accents.  I still have the second image but it will have to wait as I will be away for a week so no crafting.
