Birthday Hello Have not posted anything for months and saw the challenge on Beccy's Place blog and love the lilies so decided to have a go. Kept the card clean and simple and love how it turned out so maybe my mogo just needed a nudge.. The image is the freebie this month and the hello die is from my stash of die cut words. I can never just cut one and they mount up. I fussy cut two flowers, used dimentional tape to layer the larger one over the smaller flower on white cardstock. Stamped birthday girl under the hello die then added some glossy gems. To finish I adhered the panel to a matching grteen card base.

  Warm Hands Only Where does the time go. Our eldest daughter turns 50 tomorrow and this is the card I finally made. Not what I planned but love it and she has a great sense of humour. Hopefully this will get my mogo back as it has been on walk-a-bout lately. The digi is from Redonkadoodles  and was coloured with copics and I kept it simple so the image takes centre stage. Her favourite colour is green so mounted the panel onto a green square card base and added the sentiment. Copics used:  Skin: E00,31. Mouth: & Lips: E13,31. Hair: E23,25,27,29. Present: G12,14,16. Ribbon: C0,1,3,5. Shadow: G0000,000,00.

Fun Card I have been absent for months and finally thought it was time to get back to doing the odd blog post. Finished this watercolour card the other day and used this great Stamp Set from Kanban and it's perfect for the Happy Little Stampers Challenge.  The sentiment is what caught my eye and the images are so easy to colour. I kept the colouring simple and used TH Distress Inks and then added it to a black panel and adhered it to a light grey card base. 

  Thank You My card for the Outlawz progressive challenge for November. The image is from SheepSki Designs called Claudias Plant and was fun to colour. Added a small plant in front of the large one to the design as I felt it needed it and I kept it CAS and coloured it with my favourite copics. Will list them below. Beauty comes from Within This month the Challenge is this gorgeous image called  Flowers Tiffs Garden  from Oddball Art Co  and I had so much fun colouring this image. Haven't done much cardmaking this month and was nice to just relax and colour. Used my favourite medium copics and will list them below.  Dancing is Magic I can't believe it's been so long but things are still stressful here and I just can't seem to get back into a routine. Maybe that's good as I am doing more activities other than crafting. Nearly forgot this months challenge but here it is. As usual I used copics for colouring and like the finished card. The image is a digi called The little ballerina by Hetty Clare

 On the Mend I think I needed a break, a long, break, but I am slowly getting my mogo back and starting to craft again. My op went great but I am not a good patient and wanted it back to normal quickly and that was not going to happen. I think my PC back-up crash and losing all my stuff was the worst. They tried to rescue it but I'm missing the last 5 years of my cards etc, and as I store my digital downloads and photos they have all gone too. I am just happy that all my family and friends are surviving after the last terrible two years of bushfires, flooding and covid. We are alive and well and coping.  Now to happy things. I have done a few cards with watercolour panels as it relaxing.         They are from the  Altenew Water Coloring Book and it has amazing flowers in both no-line and lined images that are perfect for card fronts.  Now I need to start and do a few Mother's Day cards. Thinking of You Have missed doing challenges so re-joined the Outlaws Monthly Challenge and this is the result. The digi is from Jan's Digi Stamps     that is called:  Fall pear-fection. I printed the image and added the sentiment thinking of you and coloured with my copics. Added small orange stripe each side of the image before adhering it to a square green card base. Copics :   Pot: W-1, -3, -5.  Pears: YG03, 21, YR16, 21. Leaves: YG00, 03, 17. Ground: E71, 74. Shadow: YG91, 93, 95, G21.

  Born to be Wild I am amazed that it has been 9 months since I last posted on my blog. I have been card making but have just made them for friends, family and my two favourite animal rescue charities. I sell them and any money made I donate to them. We have been lucky here in Australia that covid has not not been as bad as else where but it did mean we had to cancel our trip to Scotland but we have not really had to change our lifestyle and it has been way more relaxing. Maybe to relaxing as I stopped blogging and entering challenges. This is my first and is for the Freshly Made Sketches 469 challenge. This my card.  I used an old stamp set from Studiolight that I found when cleaning up my craft room. Have never used it but love the way it turned out. The bike was coloured with copics then fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals keeping it CAS.  Copics used: YR 12, 18, E09, 39, C0, 3, 5, 7, 9.BG000.

Happy Birthday This week the colours for the challenge are these lovely spring shades and as the weather is cold down here in Australia it was nice to stamp a bright spring feeling card. The set was a feebie from Simply Cards and Papercraft and I had fun cutting and stamping with lots of different colours.. The ones I used on this card were Distress oxides in Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Spun Sugar & Picked Raspberry for the flowers and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the leaves. The circle cut out is from Altenew and is called Mid-Century Frame .

Just Hang In There When I saw this sketch for some reason all I that saw was someone or something flying. Maybe I have been in self imposed quarantine with hubby for to long and it's affecting me but we are all coping well down here in Australia. Once I started it all came together quickly and this is the result. I cut the wonky frame, stamped the cat from PB Bubbly where I wanted it and another to mask it off, placed the cat mask and coloured the sky. Used a MFT cloud stencil to colour the circle with distress oxide inks in stormy sky and salty ocean. I stamp a 3rd cat on copic friendly paper, coloured it then fussy cut it out. Sponged the same blue distress inks on the frame and adhered it to a cardbase, glued the centre piece into the frame and used dimensionals to adhere the cat. Thought the sentiment was appropriate for now. Copics : Cat: E00, 01, 02, 23, 25, R20. Balloons: Go3, 09, YR04, 07, Y13, 19, B01, 05, BV01, 04, R17, 29.

You are Special The last post card had die cuts as the focal point and I thought it would be fun to use them again but with only neutral colours. I first stamped some leaves from an Altenew set, called Wallpaper Art , in black on white card that I had cut with a spellbinders Die. Added a strip of Patterned Paper from my stash and then adhered the die cut flowers and sentiment. The sentiment from Inspired By Stamping was heat embossed in white on black card then fussy cut out. I'm entering this in the Freshly Made Sketches 418 challenge. 

Using Paint Chips with Dies Last Year I did a demo at my local monthly craft club on using those free paint chips from your local hardware store and these were leftovers.. I collect lots of them and die cutting them is one way to use them. These flowers and leaves were a way to take the guess work out of matching colours and it makes a quick card. All did was arrange them on a card base, add a strip of leftover patterned paper and a sentiment, (also a leftover) and a quick and easy card. The die was a freebie that came with a Practical Publishing card magazine, can't remember which one, and was designed by Altenew. Easy to use and you can make plenty and save them for later. You just need to remember to use them.  

Leftover Bits and Pieces I didn't make a New Year Resolution but thought it was time to start using all the leftover bits and pieces I just can't throw away. So for this challenge I started with a piece of patterned paper and a die cut frame by PB from my stash. Did a bit of masking then I stamped a really old flower called Long Stem Flower from Heroarts then stamped it again and copic coloured the two of them. Fussy cut the flowers and buds and used dimensional to adhere them to the image. I turned the sketched around as it just didn't feel right and then added a sentiment from My Favourite Things and some gems. Happy with the end result. Copics I used  Flowers: R17, 21, 59. Stems & Buds: G43, 46.  

Our Precious Animal 2 Two posts in one day is unusual for me but I finished the last two cards on the Australian animals and here they are. Backgrounds done the same with distress oxides but they are different and this is why I love this ink. The koala has more green and is from Dark Room Door Australian Animals Vol 2 set and the kangaroo from Vol 1 . I added some gum trees to the kangaroo card for interest but the gum leaves I fussy cut hides most of them. I now have a nice set of four cards and since I didn't add a sentiment they can be used for any occasion. I really enjoyed making these cards and so hope we don't lose to many more but today the weather was back to it's worst. Thanks for taking the time to check my cards.

Our Precious Wildlife This has been an horrific time this Christmas and New Year and I have not thought to much about crafting. The worst bush fires ever has devastated the country and especially around our area and we have been in drought for so long with no rain forecast . Very few have lost their lives but even a few are to many. Friends have lost their homes on the coast and so many others have lost their farms and whole towns are in ruins. My heart goes out to them all. We have lost so much life stock and our native animals so this is dedicated to all of those affected, especially the animals. Have a couple more to do so will get them up soon. The stamps are from Dark Room Door   Vol 1 and there is a Vol 2, love them both. These are the colours for the challenge and I used distress oxides for the backgrounds on watercolour paper. The leaves were die cut from green card and I added some shading with prisma pencils. 

Smile My first blog post for the New Year and it's a card I made for this sketch challenge. I am going to try and do more challenges this year but time just seems to move to fast for me now. My card is made from left over pieces that I'm trying to use as the pile is getting bigger everyday. Turned the sketch so it's a side folding card, layered the die cuts and used a sentiment from a SSS set called Happy & Smile but don't know if it's still available. No colouring for once but I like the way it turned out.

Poinsettias I am addicted to colouring flowers and at this time of year poinsettias always bring such a lovely splash of colour to my Christmas display. So for me this is my favourite stamp this year. I have lots but this years this is the one from Ellen Hutson that has been getting a lot of use. It is no longer available which is a shame. I coloured them both with copics and made a traditional card and a more modern version. Both are layered, the red one fussy cut and the other I used the matching dies. The dies are still available but the stamp is not. Had fun making these and hope you enjoyed your visit.

Going for a Ride Been a couple of months since I last posted so thought I would get back into a few challenges. This time of year always seen so busy and I just needed some crafty time to relax. I made a card for a friend using the sketch from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches 410 and used a set from SU called One Wild Ride for the sentiment. The motorbike is an old stamp from Carabelle Studio that I have had for years and was stamped on an old off cut piece of paper from my stash. Added some twine to finish. 

Poppies Thank You Card. I follow Therese Calvird from Lost in Paper  and when I saw this Challenge  on her blog I knew the flower I would use.  I was over the moon as I just love to colour and flowers are my all time favourites and the beautiful poppy is the top of the list. Being married to a career soldier and a Vietnam vet it has a very special place in my heart. Both of our fathers served in WW2 and my husbands Grandfather served in WW1. At 11th November 1918 the guns on the Western Front fell silent after more than 4 years of continuous warfare and it started a  tradition of 2 minutes silence on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11am the following year. This was later changed to 1 minute and the poppy is the symbol of that day that we call Remembrance Day and now commemorates all those who died or suffered for Australia's cause in all wars and armed conflicts.
